Yes, we are promoted via Learn Direct, the National Learning Register, the BBC website and The Learning & Skills Council amongst many others. We are the ‘go-to’ advisers for many respected TV stations and newspapers including several Sky TV channels, The Guardian, The Telegraph, and numerous wedding magazines. We liaise with TV production companies about filming the experiences of our trainees for broadcast on television. In 2014 we trained Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert on his BBC show ‘Rhod Gilbert’s Work Experience’ when he took on the role of wedding planner alongside one of our graduates.
  • Can you help me to get work experience?
Oh yes, in fact we encourage it. Click here for full details on work experience.
  • When I have completed the course can you help me in my career?
Yes, that’s exactly what we’re here for. We keep in touch with you and send fortnightly emails featuring job vacancies, work experience, media opportunities, grants for higher levels, top tips, access to free face-to-face consultations with WPS staff and invitations to exclusive events. All graduates are encouraged to display a free reciprocal link on the updates page to help promote themselves & their businesses.
  • Are these accredited courses?
Yes. The Wedding Planner School is externally accredited by the International Association for Distance Learning for the provision of all courses related to Wedding, Event and Business and is recognised by the majority of employers and clients around the world. Credits do not count towards your UCAS score. Graduates are entitled to state the diploma on CVs and business literature and a logo can be provided to you free of charge to show off your award. Some students use their tutor as an academic referee on CVs and you are entitled to put a free link on the student updates page of our website to advertise your business.
  • Is it possible to fail the courses?
Yes. It doesn’t happen very often, but these accreditations and awards have to go to people who have earned them, not just paid for them, otherwise they become worthless. Follow the guidance given by your tutors, demonstrate your understanding, show what you have learned. If so, passing the course will be easy.
  • Which courses do you recommend for me?
If you want to be an elite wedding or event planner with maximum training to get the most clients and the best possible chance of being profitable and happy in your career then we recommend the elite course because of the depth and time spent with your tutors. If you prefer a classroom environment and like training with other like-minded individuals we recommend the regular weekend courses. However, if you are impatient to get started on the formal learning apply for a home study correspondence course. If possible, we recommend that you follow up your studies with practical work experience.
  • Can I get a job through you?
Lots of people have, and others have been head-hunted by franchises too. When recruiters contact us looking for job candidates we will gladly forward information to our best candidates. We will never share your details with an outside organisation without your permission. Ultimately the onus is on you to actively find employment but we are happy to provide a reference, check CVs and provide advice.
  • Is The Wedding Planner School the best option for me?
Yes absolutely. Our reviews exceed all other training providers, our students achieve more, they save money, make more money and feel more supported. You can go and enrol on a meaningless online course for less money but your clients will see through that and you’ll learn a fraction of what you need to know then be left to fend for yourself. WPS is about making you the best at what you do and supporting you not just during your studies but for the life of your career in wedding planning and events management. We don’t make you sign up to expensive annual subscriptions for membership, we give our awards on merit and achievements. Employers know that and so do your clients – that’s why they will choose you over the unqualified or lesser-trained candidates on offer.
